KCS Energy, Inc.

KCS Energy, Inc. is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company based in Houston, Texas. Having designed their Annual Reports since 1994, they asked Roessner & Co. to revitalize their logo and branding program. We created a mark using clean, bold letterforms. To emphasize their primary area of expertise, we created a shape suggesting a drilling derrick descending from the "C" and penetrating the earth, symbolized by a gradient block underscoring "KCS". We implemented the program throughout the company and its subsidiaries and developed a Graphic Standards Manual.
